This race was my first triathlon of the year, and my first trip to the state of Texas. It was also one of QT2’s key team races for the year, so we had over 30 athletes racing!

Last weekend was my first multi-sport race at the Wrentham Duathlon! This duathlon is pretty short – a 3 mile run, 11 mile bike, and 2 mile run, and a great race to start off the season! It was a beautiful day, and I had great support – my Mom, my sister and her boyfriend made the trip to watch me race.
The past two weekends, I competed in a four-day swim meet. I swam in most of the freestyle events (50, 100, 200, 500, and 1650) and a number of relays.
It was a beautiful day to run a 5k (high 50s at race start!). There were tons of people at the race, most dressed in green to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.
